New To CBD? Here Are A Few Things You Should Know

CBD has become generally so mainstream that many may already be familiar with the ins and outs, but as the original Hemp boutique we wanted to bring this information to you first hand. So let’s talk a bit about what CBD is and how it could be exactly what you need.

THE RUNDOWN

CBD is an acronym that stands for cannabidiol which is one of many chemical elements found in the hemp plant. These plant-based chemical elements are called phytocannabinoids, or more commonly, cannabinoids. Scientists have discovered that more than 115 of these cannabinoids are alive and well in the Hemp plant, but not all of them have our full attention. At best there are only a handful or so of cannabinoids that have made a name for themselves – CBD and THC being the most notable.

A DEEPER LOOK

CBD is loved by many for its ability to mimic a set of very important molecules that the body makes on its own. Simply put, the phytocannabinoids of the hemp plant mimic naturally-occurring molecules called endocannabinoids that our bodies require in order to maintain balance. Studies show that states of stress and illness are directly related to skewed levels of endocannabinoids and so by consuming CBD we may be giving our bodies the boost they may need.

Scientists and doctors alike are beginning to shine a light on the importance of our endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is an integral part of our body that positively influences many different functions including sleep, appetite, the stress response, inflammation and more. By consuming CBD you may essentially be helping your body self-regulate and maintain balance.

SO WHAT DOES CBD DO?

CBD affects everyone differently but the majority of our customers use CBD to address a variety of symptoms including sleep issues, aches and pains, arthritis, anxiety, inflammation, skin conditions, and much more.
